World Reading

How to keep me focused during the reading of AP World?
I have like 12 pages to read tonight Cuz I got behind, but I'll read it and, as halfway down the page I will do that thing where I go back and I realize Havn't paid attention to what I have just read. I know I can understand the content, if I could stay focused, because I remember everything that my teacher says in class and get all those questions right, but the reading is killing me! Any advice on how to stay focused?
